Copywriter's Roundtable Network

"'Whom are you?' he asked, for he had attended business college." - George Ade

Mandy asked what our niches were. I am curious as to what your styles are and what feedback you have gotten in regards to it.

I am a conversationalist, (as I call it) I talk to my readers as though they were sitting in front of me.

I have been told that I do it too much and that I use to many real life examples in my how-to work. For example; I wrote an eBook on overcoming a lack of self confidence called 'Head Held High'. Although it is said that I am too wordy it has also been admitted that it my work was by no means boring and it's easily understood because of my examples and stories.

I should point out that I am also a minister and I tend to write my online and business works the same way I write sermons in many respects. Personally, I like my style. As for Web content, I never write those 8,000 word copies that you see everywhere now. I don't read them either.

What is your style and what have you been told about it?
