Hey Clay, thanks for the invite - I haven't done much on Ning besides build a group or two, but have a lot going on over at LinkedIn - see me there more. Oh, I just noticed that this box supports widgets, so I'll try and make it easy w/ a button - who knows?

Greetings,
Apparently, the Web is in for the biggest revolution yet, and it's long overdue in my humble opinion - This revolution can be be very good for copywriters, but only if we prepare now to ride the wave as it comes.
Please consider this brief message as my little gift back to the Craft of Copy. Thank you.
Here's the scoop in these related, free reports from two different sources whose judgement I respect:
1. Internet Legend John Reese just issued the prescient, free report, titled " The Rebirth of Internet Marketing " You can download it from: ( http://www.income.com/images/reports/rebirth.pdf ). Please do read this right away, and pay very close attention to PAGE 29, as that page lays the foundation for what you'll discover as you review the following, awe-inspiring, free piece...
If you have ANY lingering doubt in your mind whether you are doing the right thing in the blog-publishing business by building ONE, single, large, Web2.0, value-rich, authority site, then I urge you to think AGAIN.
According to Reese, the single, most important thing you should do right now is: "Work On Your Authority Site!"
Once you digest these two, free reports, I'd appreciate it if you can come back here to this thread, and give us your thoughts, OK?
Hi,
thanks for the invite. It's hard not to be intimidated by your list of accomplishments. Wow. My husband is a huge music fan and would probably recognize your name and face.
I'm writing articles for the local newspaper and a couple of magazines because so far they're the ones that have said yes. Pays terribly but my hope is future prospects will be impressed. Right now I'm competing for a sub position at a catalog copy company. Very tight copy with maybe an hour deadline. Definitely not the 16 page sales letter stuff. Since my rather lame attempts of selling myself to other copy buying businesses have failed, I'm thinking about promoting my own products with my own sales letters.

Gee maybe I should hobble onto this train too...
Thank you for inviting me to be your friend, Mr. Clay! As you can see I am a Zappa fan - a HUGE Zappa fan to be exact. I am honoured to make your acquaintance, sir! Plus - you guys are up wayyyy too late. Put down the damn laptop and get some shut-eye - we ride at dawn...

PS - Oh, and here are a few, VERY appropriate words from our good pal, William Shakepeare:
"There is a tide in the affairs of men
Which taken at the flood leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures."
- Julius Caesar, Act IV, Scene III
Thanks for the invite. Sure we can be pals. You seem like a very busy guy. How did you stumble into the world of copywriting?

First off, I am dumb-struck by the exalted company I keep. And, I am honored to be your friend. I hope to learn a lot from the masters.
